3/xxxx She wears an itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini! Molly loves to get dressed up. She gets so excited whenever you put and clothes on her or even when you get a collar or leash out. She loves going for a ride in the car she doesn't care where you are going she just loves to go! Update: 3/14/13 Molly is super affectionate with all people and loves to snuggle. She however will not give kisses. She will get right up to your cheek but will not lick you! Molly did not initially do well with other dogs and she is still picky about what other dogs she likes so a meet and greet is a good idea if you have another dog. She does seem to like beagles and she loves Eddie a little sassy terrier mix that is in her foster home. Molly and Eddie play for hours and have a blast together. She is fearful of larger dogs. She does now play with her toys too and likes to throw them in the air. She has turned in to a fabulous dog. 8-20-12 Update: Molly is all healed and ready for her forever home. 4/15/12 Good golly Miss Molly! This poor girl was found by one of our previous adopters after she had been ran over by a car. At first they were afraid her spine was broken as she was having difficulty walking. They took her to the //vet and she was scanned for a microchip and she was chipped and registered but the owners had moved and never changed their phone number and even the secondary contact number was no longer valid. Since the owner could not be contacted the family called us and we agreed to take over her care. She was examined and found to have a pelvic fracture but the real problem was that her tail was broken off at the base of the spine and there was a 2 inch gap from the spine to the tail in which a huge necrotic abscess had formed. She had to undergo extensive surgery to remove the tail and clean out all the infection and necrotic tissue. She had drains put in and tons of stitches and was on 2 antibiotics and 2 pain medications for 2 weeks. She just had her follow up and the drains were removed. Everything looks good at this point. She will be on antibiotics for a couple more weeks and then the stitches can come out. She was renamed Maggie by her rescuers; new name for a new start in life. Maggie is kind of aloof with new people initially but once she knows you are going to be there and care for her she becomes very bonded and protective of you. She does not really like other dogs and especially does not want other dogs around her people! She LOVES to snuggle up on the couch in a blanket and she likes to hang out in her crate even when the door is just left open you can find her curled up in there sleeping. So far she doesn't show any interest in toys. We estimate her to be around 5-7 years old. She will be ready very soon for her forever home.
